Over 130 IMAP Global M&A Dealmakers set to Gather in Paris in a Matter of Days

On Friday April 8, nearly 140 IMAP members are due to gather in Paris to celebrate IMAP’s Spring 2022 conference, and the first time the M&A partnership can reunite its teams from Africa, the Americas, and Asia since the COVID outbreak.

Preceding the Friday kick-off, conference hosts Degroof Petercam - IMAP France & Belgium, are holding an exclusive invite-only symposium on Thursday April 7 at Bridge - Pont Alexandre III. Presiding will be Degroof Petercam Chairman, Mr. Gilles Samyn, with renowned Chairman of the Institut de l'Engagement and CEO of the Greater Paris University Hospitals (AP-HP), Mr. Martin Hirsch, the afternoon’s keynote speaker.

Then, on Friday morning, select journalists have been invited to attend a special geopolitical monitor panel session in which IMAP and external experts will be looking behind the headlines of the events in Ukraine and discussing the medium and long-term consequences for Europe, together with the war’s implications on M&A, the financial markets and industry, as well as international ESG policy. For the first time during a conference, senior IMAP dealmakers will be available to journalists for exclusive interviews and commentary.

Later in the afternoon, IMAP will be announcing the long-awaited winners of its IMAP 2021 Awards. These include the coveted IMAP Dealmaker of the Year, with each award celebrating and acknowledging the dealmakers and teams who contributed to IMAP’s record year in 2021 in which it closed an all-time high 294 M&A transactions worth over $27 billion.

Saturday’s sessions will be dedicated to IMAP corporate strategy, business development and deepening the ties between the colleagues who have travelled far and wide to attend the event.
