Advised Vodoskok on its sale of a minority stake to private equity company PROSPERUS-INVEST

Overview

Vodoskok is privately owned Croatia's leading wholesaler of pipe and fittings systems for infrastructure projects in water supply, sewage, gas, cable protection, drainage, irrigation and pre-insulation. Vodoskok also owns a PE/HDPE, PP/PE piping and fittings manufacturing capacities in Heplast-pipe. Owner of the company decided to sell a share in the company in order to raise funds for further development of the company and new investments in upgrading the production facilities in Vodoskok’s daughter company, Heplast-pipe.

The Investor

Prosperus, called FGS – Fondovi gospodarske suradnje – and is a special vehicle designed to develop the private equity market in Croatia, whereby funds raised from the market are backed by an equal amount of funds from the Government of Croatia. 

The Deal

The transaction involved a capital increase of HRK30m (€4 million) from new equity partner in the company, Prosperus. For the mentioned increase the fund acquired 26.5% stake in the newly capitalized company.
